Step 1

Knead the dough for 10 to 15 minutes or until it's smooth and elastic. Kneading by hand is a simple process of folding the dough towards you, then pushing it away from you with the heel of your hand. Continue, turning clockwise with each fold - you'll know it's ready if it springs back when pressed with your fingertip.
Step 3
Place the dough in a large, lightly-greased bowl. Cover and set it aside in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
Step 4
Using your fist, punch the dough down to remove any air bubbles caused by the yeast. Knead until smooth.
Step 5
